How to Use the DEIB Engagement and Attraction Toolkit: Assess and Research

The first step of any organizational planning is to understand the current situation. Without understanding where you are, you might be addressing the wrong issues, wasting resources, obtaining false starts, or treating the symptoms instead of the problem. This is incredibly important for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) work since systematic oppression is integrated throughout our thoughts, organizations, and community. During this session, attendees will learn why assessment is necessary for human service providers to advance DEIB initiatives and how to use the toolkit to support their work.
